Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Scenewise website, waitlist, and any Scenewise beta features made available to you (together, the “Service”). “Scenewise,” “we,” and “us” refer to the operator of the Service. You can contact us at support@getscenewise.com.

1. Using Scenewise

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. You must be able to enter into a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you. If you use Scenewise for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to agree to these Terms on its behalf.

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee beta access. We may invite users in stages, and beta features may change, be limited, or become unavailable. The beta is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we will present the price and any additional payment or refund terms before you purchase them.

2. What the Service does

Scenewise helps turn a finished voiceover script into a visual plan and explainer scenes. Depending on the features available to you, you can review or edit a scene plan and export scenes for use in DaVinci Resolve or as video files for compatible editing software. Scenewise currently works from text scripts; it does not analyze your audio or video files as part of the described workflow.

Descriptions of planned features, file formats, or compatibility are not a promise that every feature will be available at all times or work with every software version. You are responsible for checking that an export suits your project before publishing it.

3. Your content and AI processing

You retain your rights in the scripts, instructions, edits, and other material you submit (“Your Content”). You grant Scenewise a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, process, reproduce, and transmit Your Content as needed to provide and maintain the Service, including sending relevant content to third-party AI services such as Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude to perform the actions you request. Our Privacy Policy explains this processing in more detail.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit Your Content and authorize that processing. Please do not submit information you are not permitted to share with Scenewise or its service providers.

AI-generated plans and scenes may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your intended use. Review all text, visuals, factual claims, rights, and export results before using or publishing them. Subject to applicable law and any third-party rights, you may use the outputs generated for you; these Terms do not transfer ownership of Your Content to Scenewise or guarantee exclusive rights in AI-generated material.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to violate the law or another person’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; submit material you are not authorized to use; create or distribute harmful or deceptive content; interfere with the Service or its security; or attempt to access other users’ data. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security issues, or legal requirements.

5. Scenewise and third-party products

Scenewise retains its rights in the Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation. These Terms give you a limited right to use the Service while you comply with them. They do not grant you rights to Scenewise’s underlying software or brand.

The Service may rely on third-party AI, hosting, email, and other providers. Exports may be used with third-party editing software, which has its own terms and technical requirements. Scenewise is not affiliated with Google, Anthropic, Blackmagic Design, Adobe, or Apple unless we expressly state otherwise.

6. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue beta features. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes when practical. If we materially change these Terms, we will update the date above and provide additional notice where required by law. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them.

7. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, specific results, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Scenewise is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. Mandatory consumer rights and liabilities that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

8. Ending use

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to remove your waitlist entry or beta data by emailing support@getscenewise.com. We may suspend or end access for a material breach of these Terms, abuse, security concerns, or legal reasons. Data handling after you stop using the Service is described in our Privacy Policy.
